      车牌识别系统包括五个核心部分,分别是图像采集、图像预处理、车牌定位、字符分割、字符识别。此系统的工作过程为:首先对车牌进行预处理,确定车牌水平位置和垂直位置,即车牌的具体位置;接下来经字符分割工作提取车牌字符;最后采用模板匹配的方法完成车牌字符的识别。Matlab仿真实验结果表明,本系统的车牌识别率可达96%。
英文摘要:
      The license plate recognition system proposed in this paper is composed of five key parts:image acquisition, image preprocessing, license plate location,character separation and character recognition. It works as follows:firstly, the license plate is pretreated, secondly, the horizontal and vertical positions (the precise location) of the license plate are determined, thirdly, the characters on the plate are separated and obtained, and finally, the characters are recognized with template matching method. Matlab simulation results show that the recognition rate of the system is 96%.
