| Deng Pei, a pioneer of the workers’ movement, led the establishment of primary-level trade unions in Tangshan Manufacturing Factory of Beijing-Fengtian Railway, Kailuan Coal Mine, and Qixin Cement Company. He also led the establishment of Beijing-Fengtian Railway Workers’ Association and served as its chairperson. Additionally, he led the establishment of the National Railway Federation of trade unions and served as its chairperson for first three terms. Moreover, he participated in the leadership of the establishment of All-China Federation of Trade Unions and served as its executive chairperson. Deng pei made significant contributions to the early trade union movement in China. |
