The Movement of the National Assembly was the beginning of Li Dazhao's leading new left wing progressive force onto the political stage, it created the conditions for the reconvening of the Congress and the formation of the Wang Chonghui cabinet. Li Dazhao and other comrades accumulated experience from the movement which laid the foundation for broader progressive movements.
