| Mach proposed that economy of thought was the objective of scientific development, the methodological principle of scientific research, the standard of appraisal of scientific theory and the potent weapon against metaphysics. His economy of thought has influenced many modern scientists, and it is of some significance to the cause of scientific development and the construction of harmonious society, in spite of its limitations. |
