Chanzong advocates the idea of “teaching does not depend on words only”.
der the pressure of speaking explicitly, Chang masters and students often use language to express a double meaning, i.e.“words are here and the intention is there”.
this paper the author tries to make an analysis of Chanzong linguistic expression from two aspects “language can not express all the thought” and “meaning is beyond words”,in order to explore the rhetoric means of expressing double meanings of Chanzong texts. |
