| 面对近代以来中西文化碰撞所造成的文化认同危机，李大钊、陈独秀作为新文化运动的主将，不得不全面评估中国固有文化，并思考其与现代西方文明之间的关系。他们对中西文化的认知，既有根本倾向上的相同或相似，也有具体细微处的差别与不同。相比较而言，无论是批判传统文化还是推崇西方文化，李大钊的态度都比较平和，而陈独秀的态度则较为激烈。这种差异不仅对两人各自思想的发展具有相当意义，也在一定程度上反映了五四新文化运动的多重面向。在文化认知层面，这种调和论与激进论的相互激荡塑造了近代以来一种新的传统。 |

| Faced with the crisis of cultural identity caused by the conflict between Chinese and Western culture, Chen Duxiu and Li Dazhao, the two leading members in the New Culture Movement, had to give an overall evaluation about traditional Chinese culture and consider its relation with western civilization. Their views on the two cultures are the same or similar in fundamental tendency,but also different subtly. On the subject of criticizing traditional Chinese culture or praising western culture,Li Dazhao’s view is moderate,while Chen Duxiu’s more radical. The differences have not only influenced the development of their own thoughts,but also partly reflected the complexity of the New Culture Movement. On the aspect of cultural cognition,this collision between reconciliation and radicalism has shaped a new tradition since modern China. |
