| As a distinguished leader of Chinese youth movement during the period of the May 4th Movement, Li Dazhao had always been concerned with the youth and tried to awaken them with his great enthusiasm. He encouraged the youth to take part in social movement, establish political dream, take the labourer as their teachers, grow up with practice, be persistent and unyielding and finally become the effective strength to reform the society. In addition, he struggled for youth's rights, paid his attention to their physical and mental health and put forward the idea about the youth's all-rounded development as a forerunner. Li Dazhao's view on the youth is still important for the healthy growth of the modern youth. |
