| 1927年4月,李大钊等人在苏联驻北京使馆中不幸被捕。围绕这一重大历史事件,《大公报》进行了详尽的报道。在报道中该报多次呼吁以张作霖为首的北洋军阀在审理过程中应兼顾世情和社情,以顺应国内社会舆论的期待。然而,北洋军阀罔顾舆论呼声,悍然动用强权对李大钊等20位革命志士施以绞刑。在李大钊英勇就义后,《大公报》仍持续关注着李大钊的身后事宜,并通过多篇报道颂扬李大钊的精神品格,赞誉其为中国共产主义运动之先驱。综观《大公报》对李大钊被捕遇难事件的报道,可以看出该报体现了民国时期进步媒体难得的较为公正的客观立场。 |

| In April 1927, Li Dazhao and other revolutionary activists were unfortunately arrested in the Soviet Embassy in Beijing. Ta Kung Pao gave a detailed report on this significant historical event. In its reports, the newspaper had repeatedly called on Beiyang warlords (led by Zhang Zuolin) to take the world and social situation into considerations in the trial, so as to meet the expectations of domestic public opinion. However, Beiyang warlord government, disregarding public opinion, brazen its might and executed 20 revolutionary activists including Li Dazhao by hanging. After Li Dazhao’s heroic death, Ta Kung Pao continued reporting on his legacy, praising his spiritual character and commending him as a pioneer of China’s communist movement. Ta Kung Pao’s coverage reflected the rare objective stance among progressive media during the period of Republic of China. |
