| With the frequently-used onomatopoeic words in Liaoning dialect as the research object, this paper constructs a "Onomatopoeic Words System for Liaoning Dialect", analyzes its types and characteristics, and specifically examines its semantic evolution and functional expansion. From the perspective of cognitive linguistics, the motivations for the semantic evolution and functional expansion are inferred. |
