| Ken Liu's science fiction possesses a unique sense of wonder and a great value concern. The key to achieving such effects in his works lies in his denial of the traditional binary structure of the science fiction literature. By examining Ken Liu's science fiction from the perspective of "boundary", it can be found that his writing transcends the binary boundaries of identity culture, thematic elements and gender discourse. This transboundary writing not only brings about literary and cultural vitality, but also reaffirms to the readers that the there is still a way to transcend binary structures in modern society which is gradually falling into the "zero-story predicament". |
