| Li Dazhao began to publicize historical materialism in 1919. During the following years, he tried to apply this outlook to the study of history, where he usually adopted the idea of allegorical interpretation of history. He regarded this as an important link and task in the study of history and also proposed the specific methods. To fully understand the meaning and method of Li Dazhao's idea on allegorical interpretation of history is very enlightening to construct historiographic discourse system of Chinese Marxism. |
