| 陡河水库是新中国成立后河北省建成的第一座大型水库，是一座以防洪为主，兼顾供水、灌溉、发电等综合性作用的大型水利枢纽工程。国家和河北省政府高度重视陡河水库的修建工作，为水库的修建提供了组织保障。同时，农业合作化的发展为民工的组织动员提供了条件。水库修建过程中注重工程的质量，使得水库成功建成后产生了巨大的效益，对当地经济社会的发展产生了深远的影响。 |

| Douhe Reservoir is the first large-scale reservoir built in Hebei Province after the founding of new China. It is a big water conservancy project for flood control, water supply, irrigation and power generation. The central government and the Hebei provincial government attached great importance to the construction of Douhe Reservoir and provided the organizational support for the construction of the reservoir. Meanwhile, the development of agricultural cooperation constituted the conditions for the mobilization of migrant workers. Great emphasis was placed on the quality of the project construction and a huge benefit has been produced since the successful completion of the reservoir. The reservoir has a profound impact on the local economic and social development. |
