| During 1936 to 1938, the ruling period of Pseudo "Jidong Anti -Communist Autonomous Government", the puppet government attempted to change the university name into "Jidong University", but failed due to the resistance from the teachers and students. This event reflected a high degree of patriotism of the teachers and students and helped to maintain the legitimacy and independence of Jiaotong University. |
