| 明代万历末年至天启时期,左光斗、董应举先后受命主持直隶屯田事务,二人均奏请拨置部分天津海防营兵士归其管辖。围绕着天津海防营的归属,左光斗、董应举与天津兵备道、天津巡抚进行了长时间的争执。这场天津海防营管辖权之争,既反映了这一时期天津海防地位的下降,也折射出明代政治体制存在的弊端。 |

From last years of Wanli to Tianqi in Ming Dynasty, Zuo Guang-dou and Dong Ying-ju successively took charge of the cultivation of wasteland in Zhili district, and they both requested the jurisdiction over the Tianjin Coastal Defense Battalion, which left them in long-term dispute with Tianjin Military Defence Circuit and Tianjin Inspection Governor.
e dispute reflected the decline in the position of Tianjin coastal defence and the flaws of Ming Dynasty administration system. |
