Tangshan was declared a city 4 times in history, namely in 1925, in 1928, in 1938, and in 1946.
1925, Beijing government designated Tangshan as a city but it was not a mature municipal system, but a product of China’s urban municipal system development.
e declaration of Tangshan as a city in 1928 did not meet the necessary conditions, and that the designation of Tangshan as a city by the Japanese puppet regime in 1938 should not be recognized.
ngshan City, founded by the Kuomintang government in 1946, had the features of modern administrative system. |
